About the Role

As a Sales Account Executive at Aspen Technology, Inc., you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base in the process manufacturing industry. This is a senior-level position that requires a strong track record of success in direct sales of software solutions, particularly in the Energy/Petroleum/Engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Manage day-to-day sales processes, coordinate account meetings, and provide sales support resources
  • Establish and cultivate consultative relationships with C-level executives at assigned customer accounts
  • Lead multidivisional account teams and work collaboratively with global account opportunities
  • Develop and maintain customer contacts at assigned accounts
Requirements
  • Demonstrated track record of success in direct sales of software solutions
  • Extensive experience selling to customers in the Energy/Petroleum/Engineering industry
  • Significant experience leading multimillion-dollar sales campaigns
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Personal computer literacy
  • University degree preferred
  • Self-discipline and motivation to produce results with indirect supervision
Preferred Qualifications
  • Chemical Engineering or relevant technical degree
  • Specific industry knowledge and experience
  • Familiarity with Aspen or similar products
