Sales Director

As a Sales Director - Home Furnishing, you will be responsible for optimizing sales and gross margin within the home furnishing department. This involves understanding the IKEA business and range priorities, as well as analyzing current trends and predicting future commercial opportunities. You will work closely with stores and IKEA of Sweden to ensure that the range is selected and priced accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive sales and gross margin goals to achieve sales targets as defined in the business plan
- Work closely with shopkeepers and supervisors to ensure they understand strategies and how to present range in a commercial way
- Stay in contact with IKEA of Sweden and the distributor to select, price, and phase in/out range for markets
- Perform range administration in the sales IT-system for products belonging to your business area
- Conduct competitor analysis and collect good sales solutions to communicate agreed KPIs within your area
- Work closely with the Logistics manager to secure optimal goods flow
- Set prices on the IKEA range and track competitors' price levels to secure IKEA's low price leadership
- Maintain continuous communication with the IKEA range distributor regarding the Range and its annual IKEA cycle
- Contribute to the planning, execution, and follow-up of the stores' commercial calendars and the marketing activities calendar
- 5+ years of Sales & Merchandising experience on a managerial level within retail or customer-focused service industry
- Prior home furnishing experience is a plus
- Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English
- High communication skills
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Computer proficiency (MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
