Seddiqi Holding is a family-owned and managed company with a unique, diversified portfolio of businesses and brands across numerous sectors. The business units include Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons the longest standing and largest unit within the group, Seddiqi Properties, Swiss Watch Services and Mizzen.
We are looking for an Account Executive who will be the main point of contact for key strategic accounts such as Foot Locker & Go Sport. The role is responsible for executing the strategic key accounts distribution and financial plans and growing market share by effectively managing existing accounts to increase the brand's visibility and achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Financial Planning- Proactively contribute to executing the overall sales strategy, plans, and departmental budgets.
- Together with the Senior Key Account Manager, prepare and submit sales plans for the assigned countries and sales progress reports monthly.
- Achieve sales target allocation and manage sales progress.
- Monitor Sales KPIs and initiate remedial actions in case of a shortfall between actual and expected performance.
- Manage inventory, stock turnover, liquidation stock, and stock movement.
- Review and validate sales results against agreed-upon targets and coordinate with the Finance Department for incentive payouts to wholesale accounts.
- Follow up with the Finance team to ensure the retailers' receivables do not exceed the approved credit limit and ensure payments are settled by the retailer as per the agreed credit terms.
- Maintain close collaboration with the retailers to improve brand sales performance, elevate the brand, and increase footprint.
- Visit stores and meet key accounts regularly to understand key brand issues and gather information on competitive practices, product availability, or replenishment challenges.
- Prepare and present business proposals to prospective clients.
- Create dedicated brand areas within the stores to ensure the brand is perceived as the most premium sportswear brand in the region.
- Ensure distribution agreements with retailers are executed on time.
- Liaise with the merchandising and marketing team regarding product launches, marketing campaigns, forthcoming offerings, and events.
- Conduct periodic meetings with the VM team to update them on the guidelines and plans received from the brand team for improving brand visibility with retailers.
- Initiate training for the retail team when necessary and conduct monthly sales meetings/briefings for all accounts.
- Coordinate with the Logistics Department to track orders and ensure timely delivery to designated accounts.
- Analyze market and business data (sell-in and sell-out progress, sell-through, discount, markdown and return progress, inventory level, gross margin, etc.) and produce actionable insights.
- Support the Marketplace and Insights Manager by providing market analysis and business data.
- Forecast (volume and spend) for assigned accounts and review the budget, analyze sales reports, and liaise with marketing and merchandising teams to maximize stock potential.
- Based on budget, prepare the sellout targets for the team and seek management approvals.
- Communicate and discuss the functions, guidelines, and procedures with key account executives to ensure responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities are defined and understood.
- Provide guidance, support, and leadership to key account executives to ensure an effective and efficient workflow.
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and manage performance issues.
In order to be successful in this role, you should have:
- 8-10 years of job-related experience, particularly with key accounts (ideally in the sportswear industry).
- A diploma or certificate with a business or marketing focus.
- Strong negotiation and strategic communication skills.
