Business Development Manager for Trade Partners

Sales Role
We are seeking a skilled Trade Sales Expert to join our team. As a Trade Sales Expert, you will play a key role in executing the local strategy and supporting the local sales teams. You will work closely with the Trade Sales Manager to develop action plans and forecasts/budgets for the trade segment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Trade Sales Manager in developing action plans and forecasts/budgets for the trade segment.
- Adding, developing, and improving sales approaches with trade partners' sales staff.
- Adding new valuable customers/trade partners to the Hempel Trade Board, expanding the network, and covering more areas.
- Finding solutions and leads for trade partners to improve the trade business across the country.
- Ensuring operational activities required for the selling process are under control.
- Responsible for fulfilling reactive customer needs on a daily basis.
- Coordinating with cross-functions every day to ensure there are no operational challenges in relation to supply chain (inventory/deliveries) and finance (payments/credit limits)/marketing activities, tinting jobs.
- Ensuring availability of sales tools in our shops (marketing support – colour cards, collaterals, brochures).
- Weekly planning and active frequent visits to trade shops.
- Implementing tasks related to shop openings.
- Handles customer enquiries in an effective manner.
- Use and seek opportunities as part of the lead generation process.
- Support marketing teams in implementing activities/NS launches/promotions, pricing, portfolios, etc.
- Responsible for training and coaching the Trade Partner's sales forces.
- Responsible for growing the customer database of the Distributors in the assigned areas.
- Updating CRM on contacts/cases/activities.
- Training shop sales on Hempel Digital tools.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree.
- A minimum of 4 years experience in a retail environment.
- Familiarity with Sales Systems, e.g., CRM.
- Superior problem-solving skills.
- Ability to resolve operational challenges.
- Familiarity with different sales techniques.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, service-oriented, and customer-focused.
- Available to travel occasionally.
