As a Strategic Business Development Manager at American University Of Kuwait, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and expanding our corporate partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Center for Continuing Education (CCE), identifying target markets and creating marketing plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Assist the Director with internal and external stakeholder consultation processes to establish support and recognition for programs and services offered by CCE.
  • Formulate and submit program and course proposals based on market trends, needs, and demands, as well as stakeholder support and recognition.
  • Recommend program and course prices and minimum enrollments in accordance with the Center's Pricing & Costing Model.

This requires ongoing research, analysis, and response to new marketplace situations and trends. You may be involved in the formation of Advisory Committees and/or conducting focus groups, as well as forming partnerships and/or strategic alliances.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies for programs and courses, including organizing events such as seminars, trade shows, art exhibits, theatre productions, and cultural festivals to improve public relations and awareness of AUK and its CCE.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients through in-person meetings, telephone calls, and emails.
  • Arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business and negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales.
Workflow
  1. Develop new corporate accounts and maintain existing accounts.
  2. Register and recruit new candidates in CCE Public/individual scheduled programs.
  3. Maintain continuous follow-up to ensure all corporate accounts are well managed.
  4. Develop relationships and networks to acquire new accounts.

You will also be responsible for preparing documents and materials for meetings, presenting to corporate management, and ensuring that companies are projected correctly. Additionally, you will provide feedback to the Business Development Director about responses from corporate and close deals by convincing customers to buy our product.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A).
  • Strong relationship building and networking skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of company products.
  • Excellent selling skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Excellent presentation and organization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
