Results-Driven Sales Executive

About the Role
This is a senior sales position that requires a skilled professional with extensive experience in selling software solutions to customers in the energy, petroleum, and engineering industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day sales processes, coordinating account meetings, and providing sales and executive management with regular updates and forecasts.
Main Responsibilities
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales quota by developing and maintaining strong relationships with assigned customer accounts.
- Manage the sales pipeline, identifying new opportunities and closing deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Coordinate and lead multidivisional account teams to ensure effective sales strategies and tactics are implemented.
- Provide regular updates and insights to sales and executive management on sales performance, pipeline development, and market trends.
Key Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in chemical engineering or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience selling software solutions to customers in the energy, petroleum, and engineering industries.
- A proven track record of success in direct sales, with a strong ability to establish and cultivate consultative relationships with C-level executives.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
- Self-discipline and motivation to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with AspenTech products or similar technologies.
