Sales Manager Position

We are looking for a Private Market Sales Manager, based in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will maintain existing accounts in an assigned territory, acting alone and as a liaison for various sales specialists with accounts to increase Abbott market penetration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve assigned sales targets at desirable share of markets.
  • Provide direction to facilitate goal setting process in line with Corporate and Marketing department goals; monitor progress; measure results; reward incentive payments; performance appraisals.
  • Select, interview & attract new recruits to the sales team.
  • Clear upside potential where he/she is going to lead sales force later through team of supervisors.
  • Provide in-field coaching, follow up training to support skill-based training and develop subordinates to facilitate succession planning.
  • Conduct sales meetings to monitor progress; facilitate communication; provide representatives with forum to network; provide training.
  • Maintain contact with key accounts; identify opportunities for corporate marketing and cultivate as appropriate.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of staff via staff meetings, written communications and one-on-one communication.
  • Interact and work with management/employees to promote teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative requirements, policies and procedures and serve as a role model to all employees by demonstrating full support of occupational health, safety and environmental programs.
  • Identify and implement best practices and encourage innovation.

Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualifications in medical sciences is a must.
  • 5-6 years of experience in the sales field of pharmaceutical experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a managerial role in people management (sales management, district sales manager or supervisor).
  • Fully aware and knowledgeable about key accounts and key stakeholders in Kuwait private market.
  • Strong sales record.
