Job Summary

The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving commercial and technical sales growth of Specialty Gas Products to existing and prospective customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CRM systems and sales pipeline management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive specialty gas sales within the assigned region.
  2. Identify new business opportunities and secure long-term supply agreements.
  3. Maintain a pipeline of target accounts, generating and qualifying leads through CRM tools.
  4. Demonstrate products to potential customers and conduct competitive intelligence research.
  5. Achieve sales quotas, new business development targets, and revenue growth objectives.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Conduct regular sales visits and provide visit reports to track customer engagement.
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve invoice discrepancies, and respond to changing needs.
  • Improve profitability of existing accounts by understanding customer requirements and offering value-driven solutions.

Sales Operations & Coordination:

  • Utilize CRM systems effectively to optimize sales processes and reporting.
  • Establish pricing structures and secure profitable new business.
  • Coordinate deliveries with the Distribution Department to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
  • Support the collection team to meet targeted Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) metrics.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Initiatives:

  • Gather and analyze market data to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Support and implement marketing plans, promotions, and new product launches.
  • Promote and leverage sales and marketing literature to align with regional growth strategies.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5-10 years of sales experience in industrial/specialty gases or a related field.
  2. Strong understanding of CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  4. Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic business initiatives.
  5. Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
