Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:
Boodai Trading is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the supply chain process, including daily engagement with sales to RFQ with suppliers to support sales to generate offers to customers. They will report directly to the Commercial Manager and support the Sales Department heads in sharing stock & delivery status reports & findings in communication and be their commercial assistance. The Procurement Specialist will negotiate supplier's terms, prices, and delivery schedules using their knowledge of budget, stock level, approved requisitions, and schedule of requirements. They will also handle nonstandard products and seek new business opportunities for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to purchasing policies, processes, and procedures as mentioned in the operations policies & procedures manual and direct manager instructions.
2. Ensure that company requirements of equipment/items are processed in the most cost-effective, economical, and timely manner within the framework of defined company policies.
3. Ensure that purchase planning is active and meeting the required stock level and coverage of market needs.
4. Use knowledge of material work planning and methods for processing procedures to ensure product on-time delivery.
5. Negotiate best vendor terms, pricing, and delivery based on the requirements.
6. Use knowledge of items and equipment to schedule items necessary for the continuation of sales cycles.
7. Maintain regular contact through proper channels and with effective communication skills with principal suppliers to ensure operations are running smoothly.
8. Report any change or non-compliance of product specifications whenever it occurs or whenever requested.
9. Participate in evaluations of suppliers and suggest any changes to facilitate the operation and reduce costs.

Duties and Essential Job Functions:
1. Monitor inventory stock levels on a regular basis and inform respective sales or concerned departments for planning purposes through reports.
2. Produce commercial department reports related to monthly sales stock reports and other reports when and as required.
3. Review and analyze information from Branch Sales Managers regarding inquiries of new products or stock availability as received from the commercial assistant.
4. Evaluate requisition forms received and send evaluation to commercial assistant for standard items for processing within a maximum of 3 working days.
5. Collect required information on the requisitions and check stock levels and conduct a search studying market history and market forecasts before processing.
6. Handle requests for nonstandard items/purchases when and as required.
7. Participate in meetings with suppliers and maintain relationships with them.
8. Update Commercial Department Application (Oracle System) on all phases of the requisition status.
9. Update commercial department registers and forms when and as required.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor in Engineering or Business Administration.
2. 5 years of experience in purchasing.

1. Cost Savings on purchase/procurement of products.
2. Handle new assignments & tasks.
3. Savings on Freight and Forwarding.
4. Stringent follow-up on timelines for deliveries.
5. Procurement ROI.
