The Local Service Unit (LSU) Sales Manager, PGSV will implement the BU PGSV and HUB strategies at the country level on behalf of the Service Business Unit. This role reports directly to the Local Service Unit Manager and functionally to the Hub Marketing & Sales Manager.
This position involves close collaboration with the Hub Sales team, working alongside the Country Local Sales Manager (LSM), the local Front-End Sales team, market managers, and sales teams of the Product and Systems BUs across Hitachi Energy. The LSU Sales Manager will oversee the dedicated Service Front End Sales team (if any) and coordinate marketing and sales efforts under the Country Level Service units to ensure a unified Hitachi Energy Service approach, including cooperation with HVDC and Grid Automation Service sales teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Service Sales within an OEM, with extensive experience managing an Installed Base (IB), preferably in the Electrical Installations/Energy sector.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for executing the service sales strategy for their area, aiming to meet qualitative and quantitative targets related to lifecycle management, service products, and solutions. A key focus will be on analyzing service market potential, penetrating the installed base, and managing customer relationships.
Candidates should have significant experience in Service Sales, with a diverse product portfolio, and a proven ability to lead collaboration and innovation in a matrix organization. They should be skilled in managing stakeholders externally and internally, optimizing team management, and exceeding sales targets to ensure high customer satisfaction.
The Hiring Manager for this role is the current Project Workstream Lead. Reporting line: Local Service Unit Manager (LSU Manager) for the respective country.
Key Responsibilities:- Service Sales Strategy: Plan and execute the hub service sales strategy aligned with BU M&S and Service GPG targets, covering lifecycle management, service products, solutions, and IB penetration. Lead sales teams to surpass targets in orders, GM%, response time, and customer satisfaction. Ensure accurate forecasting using SFDC and improve data quality.
- Negotiate major contracts to secure service order volume.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships. Generate service sales leads through IB potential analysis. Develop service-focused account plans with account managers. Collaborate with segment and channel managers to pursue leads.
- Manage LSU budgeting, sales, and operations planning in coordination with the Hub M&S manager, GPG marketing managers, and the Hub Controller.
- Build long-term customer relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their requirements and regulations, and demonstrating our value proposition. Address customer satisfaction issues promptly.
- Work with internal teams to position service offerings, share relevant market and customer data, and evaluate competitors' solutions.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Develop country-specific pricing strategies to maximize profitability in collaboration with global teams.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Extensive and demonstrable experience in Service Sales, including IB management.
- Understanding of Hitachi Energy systems and products.
- Experience in the Energy sector.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
