About the Job Opportunity


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Waiter to join the Banquet Operation team at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait. Your main responsibilities will include:



  • To provide guests with an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience.
  • To anticipate and service guests' requirements before requests are necessary.
  • To be familiar with the beverage service, including stemware used and appropriate garnishes.
  • To complete opening and closing side work as assigned and ensure all setup is according to standard.
  • To present menus and explanations for all menu items, as well as specials of the day.
  • To be fully knowledgeable of and utilize the hotel's computer system, ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks, and completing closing readings.
  • To report any accident or guest complaint immediately to a manager.
  • To recognize and address potential disruptive or undesirable guests.
  • To respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • To break down any buffets, displays, or side stations when needed.
  • To keep the service area clean and tidy.
  • To perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the line manager.
  • To retrieve and stock all linen, china, silver, glassware, and food and beverage items.
  • To provide unobtrusive and professional service in accordance with our sequence.
  • To provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap in the operation.
  • To attend all training subjects for the service colleagues and follow all rules and policies of the hotel.
  • To handle cash and credit card procedures according to the guidelines of the accounting department.

Qualifications


About You:


We are looking for someone who is well-versed in English communication and writing skills, talkative, dynamic, well-presented, and good-looking. Ideal candidates should have over one year of experience in a similar position. Experience working in a multicultural environment is highly valued. A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a multi-cultural / 5-star hotel environment is required. The ability to handle large restaurants and guest volumes on a daily basis is essential.
