Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Hospitality Services Manager to join our team at International Hospital Kw.

About the Role:
  • To oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital, ensuring that facilities are properly maintained and guest services are delivered to a high standard.
  • To develop and implement effective strategies for enhancing the patient/guest experience, aligning with the hospital's vision, mission, and values.

This is a challenging role requiring a professional with strong leadership skills, ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure that hospitality standards are met or exceeded in all areas, including quality, health, and safety procedures.
  2. To act as liaison between departments to optimize guest/patient experience and address customer complaints.
  3. Plan and coordinate work schedules for individuals and teams, delegating tasks as necessary.
  4. Supervise the accomplishment of patients' requests and concerns to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
  5. Manage inventory needs, monitor stock levels, and control consumption of supplies and materials.
  6. Oversee venue maintenance and preparation for events and conferences.
  7. Identify and recommend solutions to issues jeopardizing basic hospitality standards.
  8. Supervise contracted staff, monitoring performance and addressing any issues.
  9. Stay up-to-date with market practices in hospitality services and introduce new initiatives to enhance competitiveness.
  10. Establish realistic operational goals and objectives, prioritize tasks, and implement plans to achieve them.
  11. Exercise effective control over subordinates, appraise performance, provide feedback, and resolve conflicts.
  12. Coordinate effectively with other services/disciplines and ensure staff are trained based on identified needs.
  13. Pay attention to staff potential, facilitate career development, and manage budgets and financial plans.
  14. Interview and shortlist candidates in coordination with HR & PCA.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree/MBA or higher in Hospitality Management.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Fluent in conversational and written English. Arabic optional.
  • Customer-forward approach, tolerance for ambiguity, patience, good communication skills, and emotional intelligence.
  • Team building, employee development, problem-solving, social competence, results orientation, decision-making, project management, and record-keeping skills.

The estimated salary for this position is around KD 8,500 (approximately USD $28,500) per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
