Job Overview

This position is located in Kuwait to support LOGCAP operations. The Communications-Electronics Technician will work under the supervision of a COMMEL Supervisor, responsible for field-level maintenance services and repairs of Vehicle Radio Installation Kits.

The role involves providing maintenance and repair of tactical communication systems installed in track and wheel vehicles, as well as inventorying and reordering parts for bench stock re-supply.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform full-range vehicle radio system maintenance at the field level.
  • Complete work assignments within required man-hours standards and requirements.
  • Use correct technical manuals, bulletins, and written directives in performing duties.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, diagnose problems, and perform corrective actions.
  • Order required repair parts using appropriate parts manuals and/or automated systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain a host nation driver license and be CAC eligible.
  • Experience: Three years of work experience in communication maintenance are required.
  • Skills:
    • A working knowledge of test equipment.
    • Collaborative work style fostering cooperation and teamwork.
    • Ability to work effectively with employees and management of all levels, including multi-national staff, superiors, and ranking military officers.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    • Intermediate ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written.
    • Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
    • High-level organization and planning skills to manage workflow efficiently and accurately.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports and documents.
  • Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Physical Requirements: Heavy work involving exertion of up to 100 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
