Kuwait City, Al Asimah V2X Inc Full time

V2X Inc is seeking a highly skilled IT Technical Inspector to join our team in Kuwait. This exciting opportunity will see you play a critical role in the support of LOGCAP, working under the general guidance of the IT Technical Inspector, Sr.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform initial, in progress and final inspections on new infrastructure, current projects and existing communication installations.
  • Operate test equipment for quality inspection for checking grounding.
  • Work with Supervisors, Engineers and Operations on all projects.
  • Evaluate site survey documentation and ensure drawings are updated for each project.
  • Create freehand sketches of designs and trace finished drawings onto designated paper for reproduction.
  • Utilize Auto CAD and communicate detailed drawings and designs when required.
  • Inspect/oversee the work of assigned Sub-Contracts/Sub-Contractors.
  • Enforce safety policies in day-to-day activities.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Telecommunication Degree Preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of Fiber optic and copper cable installation.
  • Military or civilian technical training and/or experience as a technical inspector desirable.
  • Certification by an accredited organization and/or equipment manufacturer at the journeyman level desirable.
  • Certified Auto CAD preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must meet requirements outlined in AR 25-2 for NIPRNET access.
  • Must have Customer service, DOD Information Assurance Awareness and Cross Domain Violation Training.
Experience
  • Approximately 2-3 years work experience as Technical Inspector.
  • Approximately 3 years experience in communication installation.
  • Knowledge in the communication infrastructure and cabling system.
  • Knowledge in manhole duct assignment and measuring the distance on maps.
  • Knowledge in Protective Distribution System (PDS).
  • Familiar with North American or International Telecommunications Standards - Building Industry Consulting Services. International - Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual (BICSI-TDMM), National Electrical Codes, and National Electrical Safety Codes, or their equivalent.
