Job Title: Oracle Technical Consultant

Location: Kuwait City

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Technical Consultant with a strong background in scripting and programming to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Oracle databases, PL/SQL, and various scripting languages to design, develop, and maintain applications and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oracle Database Development
    • Design, develop, and optimize complex Oracle SQL queries and PL/SQL stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
    • Manage database objects, including tables, views, indexes, and sequences.
    • Implement database performance tuning techniques to ensure high performance and scalability.
  • Scripting & Automation
    • Write and maintain shell scripts, Python scripts, and other automation tools to streamline processes and reduce manual efforts.
    • Develop scripts to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
    • Implement scheduled jobs and monitoring scripts for routine tasks.
  • Programming
    • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement application logic.
    • Write clean, maintainable code for backend applications, focusing on Oracle databases.
    • Integrate Oracle databases with front-end technologies, ensuring seamless data flow and performance.
  • Data Management
    • Assist in data modeling, database design, and data migration tasks.
    • Perform database maintenance and ensure data integrity, security, and backup.
  • Collaboration & Support
    • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and system architects to understand requirements and deliver effective database solutions.
    • Provide troubleshooting support for any issues related to Oracle databases and scripts.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain clear and detailed documentation for developed scripts, database procedures, and database configurations.
    • Create reports and dashboards to assist in data analysis and decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
    • Experience with shell scripting (Bash, Korn, etc.), Python, or other scripting languages.
    • Experience in Oracle database management, including performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
    • Familiarity with ETL tools and data migration strategies.
  • Experience
    • Minimum [X] years of experience as an Oracle Developer or in a similar role.
    • Proven experience with Oracle database design, application development, and performance tuning.
    • Experience in integrating databases with external applications using APIs or middleware.
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Soft Skills
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Oracle Database Administration or Development.
  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite or other enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure) and modern database technologies.
