Under the limited supervision of a direct reporting authority, manage the day-to-day operations of the reporting departments. Ensure that facilities are properly maintained and incorporate innovative service culture to optimize patient/guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure hospitality standards practiced by staff align with quality, health, and safety procedures.
  • Act as liaison to coordinate efforts of hospitality departments to optimize guest/patient experience and address customer complaints.
  • Plan work schedules for individuals and teams, delegating assignments as necessary.
  • Communicate efficiently and coordinate with hospital departments as required.
  • Supervise accomplishment of patients' requests & concerns to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Plan inventory needs, monitor, and manage stock weekly/monthly or as required.
  • Control consumption of supplies and materials, supervising stock levels accordingly.
  • Maintain venues for meetings/events, ensuring all equipment is in working order for smooth event execution.
  • Identify issues jeopardizing basic hospitality standards and recommend cost-effective solutions to management.
  • Oversee contracted staff according to contract stipulations.
  • Study market practices in terms of hospitality services and introduce new ones to create a competitive edge.
  • Establish realistic operational goals/objectives, prioritize well, project needs, and implement plans to achieve a highly performing unit/department.
  • Exercise effective control over subordinates to achieve set objectives; provide objective feedback, coaching, and positive reinforcement.
  • Coordinate effectively with other services/disciplines in a systematic manner.
  • Ensure staff receive training based on identified needs and measure outcomes met.
  • Pay attention to staff potential and facilitate career development.
  • Manage budgets and financial plans, controlling department expenditure.
  • Interview and shortlist candidates in coordination with HR & PCA.
  • Inspect cleanliness of hospital facilities to ensure quality standards.
  • Ensure safety standards (occupational and patient safety) are complied with.
