About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Strategy Director to join our team. As a key member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to drive business growth.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will lead the collaboration with the marketing team to develop overall marketing strategy for lubricants, identify target market segments, and analyze relevant product requirements to assess and define a quality value proposition for each brand of lubricants.

You will conceptualize brands of lubricants for Middle East & other international strategic locations to build and communicate a strong brand and establish market presence. Additionally, you will lead the formulation of detailed launch strategies and integrated communication campaigns via suitable channels to communicate the brand and value proposition in an effective and cost-optimal manner to the target audience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive business growth
  • Lead the collaboration with the marketing team to develop overall marketing strategy for lubricants
  • Identify target market segments and analyze relevant product requirements to assess and define a quality value proposition for each brand of lubricants
  • Conceptualize brands of lubricants for Middle East & other international strategic locations to build and communicate a strong brand and establish market presence
  • Lead the formulation of detailed launch strategies and integrated communication campaigns via suitable channels to communicate the brand and value proposition in an effective and cost-optimal manner to the target audience
  • Review and approve all product packaging and design initiatives to ensure a strong reflection of brand and value proposition through the product
  • Manage the effective execution of promotional events to educate the participants about the product and to network with corporate and high net worth potential customers
  • Supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs to the distributors
  • Define the price points for the products and develop and communicate price margins to the sales team based on the set gross margins, costs, and define budgets
  • Monitor on a regular basis (monthly, quarterly or annually as deemed suitable) the achievement of sales plans and evaluate the performance of the geographies under sales network coverage
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with all relevant internal departments and external entities such as clients, local, international and government authorities etc. with highest standards of business ethics

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10 years of experience in Marketing of petroleum products, of which at least 5 years in a managerial role, preferably in the retail sector or in a similar environment
  • Multi-functional operational management experience
  • Deep knowledge of business workflows, operations processes and systems
  • Experience of developing strategic plans for service-based industry
  • Strong experience in project management and the execution of complex projects that are critical to the delivery of business strategies and goals
  • Regional exposure and retail background are a plus
