Job Title: Senior Laboratory Operations Manager/Laboratory Coordinator and Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Senior Laboratory Operations Manager/Laboratory Coordinator and Operations Specialist at our university. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all laboratory operations on campus, ensuring smooth day-to-day activities and providing exceptional support to faculty and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the purchasing and storage of lab supplies
  • Evaluate lab technician job performance
  • Assist in creating lab schedules
  • Develop and implement lab safety policies
  • Coordinate maintenance of lab equipment
  • Prepare and submit budgets, including capital budgets for new equipment
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for each lab
  • Coordinate annual training for lab technicians and lab instructors
  • Coordinate delivery, setup, and training for newly purchased equipment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
  • 2+ years of experience in laboratory supervision or a related field
  • Preferred requirements include experience in a supervisory role, continuing education in lab management and/or lab safety, and a Master's degree or higher

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
