Title: Sales Engineer
Function: Sales and Business Development
Reporting to: Sales Manager
About the Role
As a Sales Engineer in REDA Chemicals' Water Treatment Chemicals division, based in Kuwait City, you will play a key role in driving business development and delivering high-quality technical solutions to clients across Kuwait. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, conducting market and site surveys, and providing expert guidance on the application of water treatment chemicals.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to prepare tailored techno-commercial proposals, support service operations on-site, and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. The role requires flexibility to travel within Kuwait, conduct sampling and analysis, and respond to urgent client needs. You will also be accountable for proper documentation and follow-up on receivables to ensure timely payments.
Responsibilities
- Generate business opportunities in Kuwait by visiting clients; conducting market surveys; identifying potential clients and conducting business growth plans to ensure maximum market penetration.
- Review opportunity specifications, conduct site surveys and field/laboratory analysis (if required); and interview clients to ensure the maximum understanding of client needs.
- Prepare techno-commercial water treatment chemicals proposals, and calculate dosage rates and mode of application of products with the support of the senior team in charge.
- Coordinate with other REDA departments to ensure best-in-class services and supervise site service teams during their visits to ensure delivering the correct results.
- Conduct and attend meetings, prepare periodical sales and technical reports as required and perform any other work-related duties as requested by his manager, and comply with REDA policies.
- Ability to travel inside Kuwait and conduct sampling collection and analysis when required. Support emergency calls from clients 24/7.
- Ensure proper follow-ups of receivables and submit correct documents. Ensure the payments were received and update his manager about any delay.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- 2–3 years of hands-on sales and/or technical experience in Water Treatment Chemicals within the Kuwait market.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present technical concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Candidates with a transferable Iqama are welcome to apply.
