We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Chef de Partie to join our dynamic team at Marriott International. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to take their culinary career to the next level.

About the Role:

This senior-level position is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation in our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience. They will be responsible for supervising junior staff members, assisting with menu planning, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare special meals or substitute items as required.

  2. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters to ensure optimal cooking results.

  3. Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator according to established protocols.

  4. Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish to meet hotel standards.

  5. Maintain accurate food logs to track inventory and monitor food safety.

  6. Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared, making adjustments as needed.

  7. Communicate assistance needs during busy periods to ensure seamless service.

  8. Inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials.

  9. Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock menu items.

  10. Ensure the quality of food items by adhering to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.

  11. Prepare cold foods according to established protocols.

  12. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model.

  13. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.

  14. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

  15. Anticipate and address guests' service needs.

  16. Speak with others using clear and professional language.

  17. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

  18. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

  19. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

  20. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

  21. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.

  22. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
