The Role of a Sales Account Executive at Aspen Technology is pivotal in driving the company's success. The individual will be responsible for selling software licenses and consulting services directly to assigned customer accounts, ensuring the achievement of quarterly and annual sales quotas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage day-to-day sales processes, coordinate account meetings, and allocate sales support resources effectively.
- Provide regular updates to sales and executive management on account performance, sales forecasts, and other critical metrics.
- Lead multidivisional account teams and collaborate with global counterparts on high-priority sales opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must possess:
- A strong background in chemical engineering or a relevant technical field, preferably with a university degree.
- Extensive experience in selling to customers within the energy, petroleum, and engineering industries.
- A proven track record of successful direct sales of software solutions, particularly those related to subsurface geomodelling and reservoir static modelling.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to establish consultative relationships with senior-level executives.
- Proficiency in using personal computers and self-motivation to deliver results with minimal supervision.
