Job Summary

The Central Store Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining the central research store, which contains laboratory consumables, supplies, chemicals, media, and kits. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, basic math skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the central research store, ensuring that all items are properly stored and easily accessible.
  • Review average monthly usage patterns of all items and maintain constant supplies.
  • Receive, examine, and verify chemical and consumable deliveries, and reconcile against purchase orders.
  • Load and unload inventory onto or from pallets, bins, racks, and shelving.
  • Manage the marking or tagging of items received for identification purposes.
  • Prepare, schedule, and conduct regular inventory analysis and physical counts.
  • Ensure that MSDS records are kept current and available.
  • Manage purchase requisitions (PR) in a timely manner by working with procurement and principal investigators (PI).

Requirements
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Fluency in English and Arabic
  • Computer competency, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems
  • Chemical handling safety
