We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal advice for LNG and energy trading activities.
This is a unique opportunity to work on cross-border energy projects and influence high-level decisions in a dynamic industry.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Draft, negotiate, and execute complex long-term LNG Sales & Purchase Agreements (SPAs) valued in the billions.
- Negotiate LNG Master SPAs: Develop agreements with international suppliers and customers to enhance our market position.
- Provide guidance for spot cargo operations and LNG trading.
- Design frameworks for utilizing LNG facilities, including storage and reloading capacities.
- Advise on the legal aspects of crude oil and petroleum products exports.
- Oversee legal proceedings and manage litigation related to LNG activities.
- Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to achieve strategic goals.
- A qualified solicitor or Attorney-at-Law with a strong educational background.
- Extensive experience in energy law and international commercial transactions.
- Proven track record in LNG and energy trading transactions.
- Substantial experience in the oil & gas or energy trading sector.
- Deep understanding of international energy trading laws and practices.
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions.
- Willingness to relocate to Kuwait as a long-term expat.
