Job Overview:

This role involves close collaboration with the Hub Sales team, including the Country Local Sales Manager (LSM), local Front-End Sales team, market managers, and sales teams of the Product and Systems BUs across Hitachi Energy. The LSU Sales Manager will oversee the dedicated Service Front End Sales team and coordinate marketing and sales activities under the Country Level Service units to ensure a unified Hitachi Energy Service approach, including collaboration with HVDC and Grid Automation Service Sales teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Service Sales within an OEM, managing an extensive Installed Base (IB), preferably in the Electrical installations/Energy sector. They will be responsible for implementing the service sales strategy in their area, achieving targets related to lifecycle management, service products, and solutions, with a focus on IB penetration and customer relationship management.

Significant experience in managing Service Sales, preferably with a multi-product mix, and a proven track record in leading collaboration within a matrix organization is essential. The candidate should demonstrate leadership in exceeding sales targets, high customer satisfaction, and managing diverse teams effectively.

The Hiring Manager for this role is the current Project Workstream Lead, reporting to the LSU Manager for the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Service Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with BU objectives, lead teams to exceed targets, forecast sales accurately, negotiate major contracts, identify new business opportunities, and develop service-focused account plans. Manage budgeting, sales, and operations planning, establish long-term customer relationships, and collaborate on SLAs, pricing strategies, and marketing activities. Support product launches and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  2. Customer Approach: Build long-term relationships by understanding customer needs, regulations, and providing high-quality technical solutions. Ensure customer satisfaction issues are addressed promptly.
  3. Sales Processes: Support sales activities, provide market feedback, and share insights on installed base data, leads, and competitors' solutions.
  4. Health, Safety, and Integrity: Monitor client financial status, manage risks related to contracts, promote health and safety practices, and align with sustainability goals.
  5. People Leadership and Development: Drive sales efficiency through skills development, organize and staff the team appropriately, coach on sales planning and negotiation, and promote a unified Hitachi Energy approach.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive and demonstrable experience in Service Sales and IB Management.
  • Strong customer relationship skills and understanding of Hitachi Energy systems and products.
  • Experience in the Energy sector, with analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
