Job Overview

The Public Relations Assistant position is designed to provide administrative and tactical support to our dynamic PR team. As an entry-level role, this position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about communications, possess excellent organizational skills, and have a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Media Relations:
  • Develop and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other media materials to promote our company's image and reputation.
  • Monitor media coverage and track media mentions to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Support media outreach and follow-up efforts to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct research on media opportunities and trends to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Content Creation:
  • Produce high-quality content for various platforms, including press releases, blog posts, social media, and website copy that accurately reflects our company's values and mission.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and business cards.
  • Manage social media posting schedules and create content calendars to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Provide general administrative support to the PR team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and organizing files.
  • Assist with event planning and coordination, including venue selection, catering, and logistics.
  • Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and media landscape to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Analyze media coverage and track PR campaign effectiveness to inform future strategies.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing PR activities and results for senior leadership.
  • Social Media Management:
  • Support the management of social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement to build brand awareness and loyalty.
  • Monitor social media for brand mentions and industry trends to stay informed and adapt our strategy accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and social media management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Internship experience in public relations or communications is a plus.
  • Must communicate in fluent English and Arabic.
