Cloud Engineering Team Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Field Engineering Manager to lead our team of cloud solutions architects in designing and delivering tailored private and public cloud solutions for our customers.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing teams, guiding career development, and representing the team technically. Active participation in technical presales is expected, and the ability to solve customer problems by promoting our technologies and being a trusted advisor is essential.

About the Role
  • Lead and develop a team of field engineers in presales and professional services.
  • Solve customer problems by promoting our technologies and being a trusted advisor.
  • Work remotely within a single major time zone.

This is an excellent opportunity to grow management skills and train engineers interested in soft skills to become managers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a team of field engineers, guiding their career development and ensuring timely, high-quality results.
  2. Represent the team technically, collaborating with other teams and customers.
  3. Active participation in technical presales, solving customer problems by promoting our technologies and being a trusted advisor.
  4. Identify and measure team health indicators, implementing disciplined engineering processes.
  5. Develop and evangelize best engineering and organizational practices.
  6. Plan and manage progress on goals and projects, participating in leadership team collaborations.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts & technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, AWS, GCP, Azure, Ceph, etc.
  • Practical knowledge of Linux and networking.
  • Experience in technical presales, proactive, engaging personality with project and people interaction skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Passion and experience in developing and growing people, leadership, coaching, and mentoring experience.
  • Organized, ensuring timely, high-quality results, strong academic background, ideally from high school and university.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%, attending events and customer meetings.
