This position plays a key role in Kuwait, supporting LOGCAP operations. The job holder will oversee painting tasks and lead a team.
The primary responsibilities include ensuring the availability of necessary supplies, knowledge of surface peculiarities, and appropriate paint applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Paint and restore surfaces to their original condition.
- Prepare surfaces by removing old finishes, filling holes, and sanding.
- Apply paint using various tools such as spray guns or brushes.
- Mix colors and paint ingredients to achieve the desired consistency.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
To be eligible for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- CAC eligibility and/or ability to obtain a CAC.
- U.S. citizenship.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain U.S. Government and host nation driver's licenses.
- A high school diploma or equivalent; proof of education may be required.
Candidates with the following experience are preferred:
- Minimum of three (3) years of painting experience acquired through formal apprenticeship or equivalent training.
- Knowledge of surface peculiarities and types of paint for different applications.
- Surface preparation skills including washing, filling, and sanding.
- Proficiency in applying paint with various tools.
- Color mixing and paint ingredient knowledge.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures ranging from below 32°F to above 100°F.
- Noise exposure requiring shouting to communicate.
- Potential hazards including moving machinery, vehicles, electrical hazards, scaffolding, high places, heat, and chemicals.
- Light work, exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently.
