About the Job

The purpose of this role is to maximise sales and market share of assigned pharmaceutical products in a designated area by conducting promotions in line with company strategy, rules and local regulations.

To achieve success, it is critical that the Medical Representative:

  • Promote assigned products.
  • Conduct regular visits of pharmacies to monitor product availability and movement.
  • Introduce new products.
  • Use sales techniques and operational tools in order to achieve sales objectives and constantly seek to improve selling skills and knowledge.
Main Responsibilities

The key results/accountabilities of this role include:

  • Supplying quality medical information to different healthcare professionals in compliance with professional ethics and company image, rules and regulations.
  • Identifying customers and managing sales promotion of assigned products to target doctors to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets in line with company strategy.
  • Developing weekly and monthly visit plans in consultation with the line manager and in compliance with Sanofi internal sales systems and procedures.
  • Maintaining and updating product and competition knowledge in order to create a good professional image and build good relationships with trade personnel.
  • Identifying and establishing new business opportunities.
  • Updating all required information on doctor cards and lists.
  • Implementing ongoing targeting and profiling of customers in order to increase sales.
  • Communicating regularly with key opinion leaders, getting market feedback and reporting any relevant information to the line manager in line with company procedures and best practice.
  • Supporting the District Manager with the knowledge transfer to new hires in order to familiarise them with product knowledge, medical information, territory coverage and reporting system.
  • Implementing territory coverage plan (number of sales calls and visit frequency).
  • Maintaining Compliance.
