Key Responsibilities

The Senior Commercial Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Negotiating contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
  • Leading and managing the preparation and submission of bids, tenders, and proposals.
  • Conducting cost estimation, price analysis, and evaluating RFQs to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Managing commercial activities during contract execution, including VO negotiation, delivery, and payment collection.
  • Assessing and mitigating credit risks by providing insights on payment terms, guarantees, and financial stability of clients.
  • Promoting and developing new businesses through PQ applications.
  • Preparing detailed reports on commercial activities, bidding outcomes, and contract performance for internal stakeholders.
  • Forecasting order taking, revenue, and cash flow.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships as the primary point of contact for key clients.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Staying updated with market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices to support business development.
  • Assisting project managers in resolving contractual issues related to site acquisition.
  • Preparing and developing comprehensive reports and updates to the HOD (Commercial).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 11+ years of relevant experience in a commercial role involving contract negotiation, bidding, tendering, and cost estimation.
  • Experience in Infrastructure with electrical equipment.
  • Exposure and experience in the Transmission and distribution industry.
  • Willingness to travel across GCC countries as per business needs.
