Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Inspector to join our team at Vectrus. As a Technical Inspector, you will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, analyzing, and examining small arm weapons and complex small arm weapon systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and inspect small arm weapons and complex small arm weapon systems
  • Analyze and examine parts and assemblies as required
  • Determine the nature and extent of repairs required
  • Disassemble, examine, reassemble, and adjust components
  • Determine serviceability of weapons and parts
  • Exercise initiative to maintain productive progress and accept responsibility for results
  • Utilize diagnostic techniques and test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) items
  • Provide equipment life cycle management for utilization, modification, and repair data
  • Perform technical research and ensure operational readiness of assigned equipment
  • Inspect classified and unclassified components of Armament Systems
Requirements
  • 8-10 years of experience in Armament systems maintenance
  • Expert knowledge of Technical and Commercial manuals for Servicing, Operational and Repair
  • Ability to troubleshoot, service, and repair Armament Systems
  • Full knowledge of TMDE and its proper usage
  • Ability to read, speak, and legibly write English
  • Ability to obtain and hold proper clearances and background checks
Working Environment

Work is generally conducted indoors but can also be done outdoors with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.

Work may require lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents could exist.

Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas.
