Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technical Inspector to join our team at Vectrus. As a Technical Inspector, you will be responsible for performing initial, in-progress, and final inspections on various pieces of military, commercial, and other forms of communication equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform initial, in-progress, classification, and final inspections on communication equipment
  • Operate and inspect communication equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot defects
  • Use technical manuals, bulletins, and written directives to perform inspections
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges
  • Order required repair parts using appropriate parts manuals
  • Conduct tests on equipment that has been serviced, repaired, and overhauled to ensure operating efficiency
Requirements
  • Minimum of six years continuous experience performing maintenance services and communication systems of combat tactical vehicles and other communication-related systems
  • Expert knowledge of technical and commercial manuals for servicing, operational, and repair procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot, service, and repair communication systems work ordered by customers
  • Proficiency in all phases of paperwork related to services, maintenance, repairs, classification, and etc.
  • Expert knowledge of maintenance prints to establish workload priority
  • Expert knowledge of communication test procedures and processes
Working Environment

The work is generally conducted in a shop environment, but duties may involve conducting work in the out-of-doors area with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.

The employee will be required to lift up to 50 lbs, stoop, climb, stand for prolonged periods, and sit for prolonged periods. The employee may be exposed to physical, chemical, or biological agents and must comply with OSHA, EPA, and Fire Regulations and published company work rules.
