Job description: About the Role Support the Associate Director of Governance and Strategy in the analysis of business issues, recommendations to management and leadership of transformation projects and workstreams to provide corporate solutions and improvements. Support the CEO, other senior executives, and the Pace Leadership Team (PLT) in their decision-making processes, while developing leadership skills and a top-down business perspective, through close engagement. What you will be doing Collate data, prepare, and structure findings into knowledge pieces and reports for key stakeholders within Pace to support informed and fact-based decision making. Collect, review, and analyze business data to write in-depth concise executive analytical reports that recommend strategic and operational changes and inform Director level and CEO level decision-making processes. Conduct desk research and gain data from market insight intelligence, performance benchmarking, macro/micro-market analysis and other external and internal sources as well as qualitative data from interviews and other methods. Conduct market research and analyze current topics that positively impact profitability, growth, productivity, or future market opportunities of the business. Develop and lead internal projects, or support other teams in managing initiatives, pilots and projects based on established project management best practices within Pace. Develop data collection plans and engage with stakeholders to collect data, analyze data and synthesize findings into reports. Maintain and develop knowledge of industry and business trends through communication with professional organizations, suppliers, customers, competitors, and internal experts. Map and analyze business processes, identify improvements, and calculate benefits from these changes, and study their feasibility to then prioritize and make specific recommendations to the business. Oversee and monitor project and initiative execution and track business process and organizational unit performance to accurately track business plan and business strategy implementation. Provide information externally to clients to position and contribute to the thought leadership of Pace as design and supervision leader, or on current topics expanding the knowledge base of our clientele. Recommend changes to improve and implement processes and systems that improve financial planning and business intelligence. Set principles and develop policies and processes and other tools to strengthen the Pace internal quality management premise. Support the design of changes and implementation plans for processes, structures, or system improvements. Use statistical methods to identify areas for operational improvement and make recommendations for streamlining processes. Work by utilizing clear measures of performance and appropriate external benchmarks. Work with business unit leaders and collaborate with the Quality Assurance unit to improve governance through corporate decisions. Work with internal stakeholders to perform financial and operational modeling and develop new models that underpin sound business decisions. Work with stakeholders to prioritize identified recommended changes, putting these into the context of organizational strategy and its execution. Required Experience1-2 years of industry experience as an analyst, consultant, advisor, project manager or similar role. Ideally, AEC industry. Proven ability to parse complex types and sources of information to provide clear, compelling, evidence-based arguments which support business-enhancing decisions, utilizing statistical tools. Experience of business planning and tracking key business performance metrics. Experience in forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis combined with the understanding of key performance indicators. Experience in the use of PESTLE, SWOT and other strategy tools and analytical methods which create deep insights and clarity. Experience in handling databases and understanding technology-driven business intelligence tools. Education Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, management science, or a related field. Certifications & Memberships Additional training courses, professional and personal development with membership to professional groups, societies or institutes, desired. Essential Skills Proficient IT skills, including MS Office programs, ERP, or specialized software such as project management or process mapping. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Abundance of patience, perseverance. Supreme tact and diplomacy. Works well independently and as part of a team. Proven ability to present persuasively to senior audiences. Extremely organized with great attention to detail. Excellent attention to details and ability to analyze information and think systematically. Ability to collect and compile relevant data.
