Software Business Analyst

[Must be located in Kuwait] We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Business Analyst with experience in mobile applications (Android and iOS) and REST APIs to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with both business stakeholders and the development team to gather, analyze, and document requirements for software solutions, particularly in the context of mobile app development and API integrations. You will ensure that the business and technical teams are aligned to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.

1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
   • Engage with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, understand, and document business requirements, specifically for mobile apps (Android and iOS) and software solutions.
   • Define both functional and non-functional requirements for mobile applications and API integrations.
   • Translate business needs into detailed user stories, use cases, and workflows that can be easily understood by development teams.
   • Analyze and document current business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement, optimization, or automation using mobile and API solutions.
2. Mobile Application & API Solution Design:
   • Collaborate with development teams to design mobile app features (Android/iOS) and API interfaces that align with business needs.
   • Define API requirements, workflows, and ensure seamless integration with mobile apps and back-end systems.
   • Work with the technical team to validate proposed mobile app and API solutions to ensure they meet business needs and are technically feasible.
   • Prepare functional specifications and ensure the mobile app development process aligns with the defined business requirements.
3. Stakeholder Communication:
   • Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the technical team for mobile app and API-related initiatives.
   • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to ensure that mobile app and API development processes are aligned with business goals.
   • Effectively communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies to key stakeholders and ensure alignment with business objectives.
4. Project Support & Testing:
   • Provide support to project managers during the planning, execution, and delivery phases of mobile app and API projects.
   • Define test cases for mobile apps (Android/iOS) and API functionalities, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
   • Assist in prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value, ensuring that the mobile app and API solutions are delivered on time.
5. Continuous Improvement:
   • Continuously evaluate mobile app and API solutions, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency, user experience, and performance.
   • Stay current with trends and best practices in mobile app development, RESTful API integrations, and software development methodologies.

1. Education:
   • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Experience:
   • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development, specifically with mobile apps (Android and iOS) and REST APIs.
   • Experience with banking industry.
   • Experience with mobile app development lifecycles (Android/iOS) and integrating with back-end systems via REST APIs.
   • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
   • Knowledge of mobile app design principles, user interface, and user experience (UI/UX) best practices.
   • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management processes.
3. Skills & Competencies:
   • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly related to mobile and API solutions.
   • Ability to translate complex business requirements into detailed user stories and technical specifications.
   • Proficiency in communicating with both business stakeholders and technical teams effectively.
   • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate workshops and meetings.
   • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
   • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including mobile developers, back-end engineers, and UX/UI designers.
4. Technical Knowledge:
   • Experience working with RESTful APIs and understanding of API integration best practices.
   • Understanding of mobile app development platforms (Android Studio, Xcode) and frameworks (Flutter).
   • Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger) and version control systems (e.g., Git).

1. Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certifications.
2. Agile or Scrum certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP).
