As a Symantec Senior Presales Engineer, you will interact externally with customers with various requirements. Internally, you will collaborate with Account Managers and colleagues across sales, delivery, and engineering teams. Your creativity, active listening, and analytical skills will be essential in positioning and selling solutions that deliver business value and customer satisfaction.
You will work on solving complex customer business needs and designing large, outcome-driven transformations. Your problem-solving and technical skills will help create solutions based on multi-dimensional approaches and long-term digital transformation strategies.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Articulate the value proposition, integration potential, vision, and strategy of Information Security to customers and partners.
- Provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and installation/maintenance of Symantec Security Solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to develop cybersecurity strategies aligned with customer needs.
- Differentiate and position Symantec products through presentations, demos, proof of concepts, and health checks to influence purchase decisions.
- Develop and communicate end-to-end solutions, including consulting, services, and implementation design.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer success.
- Advise customers on product performance, including sizing, tuning, and configuration, and recommend best practices.
- Assist in closing complex opportunities by acting as a technical advisor, leveraging industry and competitive knowledge.
- Deliver product and technology briefings.
- Support technical responses to RFIs and RFPs.
- Enable sales teams on value propositions, differentiation, and best practices.
- Utilize CRM systems like Salesforce for lead and opportunity management.
Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant presales experience in cybersecurity.
- Mid-Senior level
