Business Development Lead

Company Description
The role is responsible for executing business strategies, objectives, targets, and plans within the market. The incumbent will oversee the Business Development function for a specific client base in Kuwait, with the aim of achieving business targets across core solutions, value-added services, and money movement solutions. This will be accomplished by expanding current business operations and identifying new opportunities. The Business Development Senior Manager will report to the Country Manager for Kuwait, based in Kuwait.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the country management in developing the Kuwait market strategic plan by integrating and setting priorities based on market information, clients' business plans, Visa priorities, and competitor activities.
- Develop and execute customized account strategies, objectives, and plans to increase revenue and market share.
- Lead account and relationship management and sales plans for assigned accounts, ensuring that the client's business objectives are met.
- Work with cross-functional teams to recommend, develop, and implement new approaches to grow the client's business.
- Continuously review the market landscape to identify partnership opportunities and solutions that position Visa as a market leader.
- Align and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization, such as Product Marketing, Merchant Sales & Acquiring, Client Services, Innovation, Legal, Risk, and Support teams.
- Support the development, negotiation, and signing of proposals by working with internal stakeholders and maintaining relationships with strategic partners.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent.
- 7 or more years of experience in sales, retail banking, or cards, with expertise in banking/financial services sector or sales/portfolio development and relationship management.
- Experience in project management, strategic planning, analytics, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Extensive knowledge of Visa, other payment systems, and card products.
- Proven ability to liaise, present, influence, and negotiate with senior-level international and local stakeholders, including bankers, regulators, merchants, media, and vendors.
- Ability to negotiate business agreements.
- Fluency in English.
- Effective presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
