Position Overview

The Factory General Manager will lead the entire manufacturing operations for a well-established furniture and mattress production facility. The ideal candidate is a mechanical engineer with strong expertise in furniture manufacturing, production management, and process optimization. He will oversee both mattress and furniture divisions, ensuring efficient production flow, cost control, product quality, and timely delivery across all departments — including upholstery, woodwork, foam cutting, and assembly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and coordinate all factory operations for furniture and mattress manufacturing lines.
  • Oversee production planning, resource allocation, and workflow to ensure targets are met on time and within budget.
  • Supervise engineering, production, quality control, and maintenance teams.
  • Implement manufacturing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards in upholstery, wood finishing, and mattress production.
  • Collaborate with the design and R&D teams to introduce new products or improve existing ones.
  • Manage procurement of raw materials, tools, and machinery with cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labor regulations.
  • Analyse production data, monitor KPIs, and prepare performance and cost reports for management.
  • Train and mentor production supervisors and line managers to strengthen leadership and technical capabilities across departments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (mandatory).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in furniture or mattress manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior management or factory leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in both upholstery and furniture production processes.
  • Strong understanding of machinery, production lines, and quality standards in the furniture sector.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluency in English required; Arabic is an advantage.
