We are seeking a Senior Production Engineer

with deep domain expertise in oilfield operations and a passion for digital

transformation. This role bridges the gap between field knowledge and data

science/AI development teams, ensuring that intelligent systems reflect

real-world production behaviors.

The candidate will contribute technical

insights to product design, validate ML model results, and help prioritize

opportunities for automation and optimization within Digital Oilfield (DOF)

platforms. Experience with DOF tools is required. While AI/ML exposure is

appreciated, it is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the subject

matter expert (SME) in production engineering for digital initiatives.

  • Translate operational

workflows into structured inputs for ML engineers and developers.

  • Evaluate model outputs

and ensure alignment with physical system behavior and field expectations.

  • Identify opportunities

for intelligent automation in surveillance, optimization, and diagnostics.

  • Serve as a liaison

between engineering teams and product/technology stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of hands-on

production engineering experience, preferably in upstream operations.

  • Familiarity with DOF

platforms, digital twins, or data-driven production workflows

  • Strong understanding of

field surveillance, production optimization, artificial lift, and flow

assurance.

  • Experience working with

or implementing digital systems in operational settings.

  • Ability to communicate

effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Interest in digital

workflows, data analytics, and decision automation.

Nice to Have:.

  • Awareness of AI/ML

applications and their potential impact on upstream operations.

  • Comfortable reviewing

or testing the results of ML models in operational use cases.

  • Open to working in

agile or cross-functional teams alongside developers and data scientists.
