Job Role:

The Junior Procurement Engineer supports the procurement department in sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for company operations and projects. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards, and assisting in maintaining cost-effective and timely procurement processes.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers for materials, spare parts, and engineering-related services.
  • Obtain and compare quotations to ensure best value, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Support in negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, and warehouse teams to confirm technical specifications and material requirements.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and related documentation in the ERP/procurement system.
  • Monitor and follow up on order deliveries to ensure timely receipt of materials.
  • Maintain updated records of suppliers, pricing, and delivery performance.
  • Assist in conducting vendor performance evaluations and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and approved procedures.
  • Prepare routine reports on procurement status, material availability, and cost control
