As a Public Safety Telecommunicator, you will play a vital role in responding to emergency calls and dispatching personnel to critical response situations. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Receive and process emergency calls from the public, assessing situations and determining the appropriate response.
  • Dispatch emergency personnel, such as police officers, firefighters, and paramedics, to critical response situations.
  • Provide critical information to responders, including location details, situation updates, and medical instructions.
  • Maintain accurate records of emergency responses, including call logs and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with other emergency services agencies to ensure seamless response and coordination.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year related experience may substitute for education.
  • One year of experience as a dispatcher or in a related field.
  • Certifications in emergency medical dispatch (EMD) and CPR/AED.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
