Global Freight Specialist
We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a Global Freight Specialist. This role will involve ensuring the timely and accurate movement of freight, while providing exceptional customer service.
Main Responsibilities:
- Arrange international shipments with customers, meeting high standards of customer service.
- Ensure smooth and timely freight and customs processes.
- Communicate arrival notices to overseas customers and stakeholders.
- Enter accurate and timely data into our operational systems.
- Track and trace customs files and provide regular reporting.
- Contribute to maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, including airlines, trucking companies, and others.
- Ensure accurate and timely client billing.
- Understand all aspects of import and export customs regulations and interpret this information to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations at all times.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in brokerage and freight operations.
- Good knowledge of the customs brokerage process and Ministry approvals.
- Understanding of ocean, road, and air documentation processes.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Word.
- Fluent in English language.
