Job Description

This is a key role within our organization responsible for generating supply/maintenance transactions into the Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A). The successful candidate will be responsible for performing customer service activities in accordance with the GCSS-A End User Manual.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform customer service activities related to GCSS-A, ensuring compliance with the GCSS-A End User Manual.
  • Input data from source documents, performing edits according to internal quality control checks.
  • Manage shop stock and the Army Maintenance Management System clerk duties.
  • Generate reports as required using GCSS-A.
  • Maintain notifications, work orders, records of services performed, ordering and managing repair parts, dispatching vehicles and equipment, issuing material to work order, returning and recoverable/reparable material to stock, entering time confirmations for work orders, performing the work order completion, and updating the operations status for a piece of equipment.
  • Follow up on weekly transaction reports, weekly form counts, and prepare forms to be digitally sent.
  • Perform edits based on FEDLOG codes and classes of supply as required.
  • Conduct readiness activities including documentation, records management, reporting, and record reconciliation.
  • Gain access to GCSS-A, IGC, FedMall, LIW, and WEBVLIPs for parts and document research.
  • Provide logistical support to other operational and support elements as required.
  • Provide analysis and technical assistance by researching repair part availability and expedition as required.
  • Conduct and participate in scheduled and unscheduled inventories and surveys.
  • Review and validate document register reconciliations and submit daily supply activities.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two years of functional GCSS-A experience required.

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, and procedures. They should have advanced level proficiency in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, as well as strong written and oral communication skills.



Others

Tier 1 NACI clearance is required for all U.S. Citizens. Ability to obtain SAAR approval for NIPR access to USG STAMIS is also required. GCSS-A certification is necessary for this position. Facility credentials/authorization are required and must be obtained and maintained by the selected candidate.
