Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Admissions Counselor. As a key member of the Office of Admissions, you will play a critical role in recruiting and admitting students to American University of Kuwait.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and engage prospective students
  • Conduct interviews with applicants to assess their suitability for admission
  • Manage applicant data collection and entry into our student information system
  • Coordinate with high school counselors and officials to facilitate secondary school recruitment and visitation plans
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and coordination between departments
  • Stay up-to-date on AUK's admission standards and requirements, as well as Private Universities Council regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective students, parents, and university staff
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office software
  • Understanding of integrated information systems and data analysis
  • Experience in college/university admissions or recruitment is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of a multicultural/multilingual team
