Job Description

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the effective execution of projects. This involves providing expert support to project control personnel, facilitating the set-up and execution phases of various projects using WorleyParsons project control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist project control services to support the WorleyParsons project control system.
  • Collaborate with the Business Systems Group to roll out the project control system, including initial configuration and training activities.
  • Liaise with project teams to ensure the correct utilisation of the project control system based on project-specific requirements and corporate guidelines.
  • Develop and review data interfaces for third-party project systems, as required.
  • Prepare and manage Inter Entity Work Orders.
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Work within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Business Systems Customer Sector Group.
  • Take ownership of cost control functions and ensure the integrity of processed data.
  • Interface with project personnel to develop project forecasts and analyse costs.
  • Supervise supporting roles in the project cost control area.
  • Liaise with clients to clarify cost-related issues and develop timely and meaningful monthly invoices.
  • Preparation of project invoices in conjunction with the Accounts Department.
  • Liaise with clients for reporting purposes.
  • Preparation of monthly financial reports for the project and other financial analysis as required.
  • Implement financial controls, including controlling authorisations of expenditure and cash flow projections.
  • Preparation of budgets in conjunction with engineering and construction team members.
  • Ensure effective coordination and cooperation between team members, particularly in regard to cost, planning (forecasting) and procurement matters.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Qualification: B. Sc. Engineering

Experience: Experience in a similar role and proven track record of initiating meaningful project controls in a multi-project environment, with demonstrable skills in managing project time and cost.
Software Skills: Minimum hands-on experience in software associated with the role/specialty.
