Alarm System Maintenance Technician

This role involves the maintenance and repair of electronic intrusion alarm systems and equipment. The technician will work in secure-, critical-, and sensitive-designed areas under control of U.S. Army contract requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks on electronic intrusion alarm systems and equipment, including conductor splicing and terminating.
  • Install and repair circuit boards, circuit breakers, transformers, filters, batteries, rectifiers, and associated components and accessories.
  • Work in secure-, critical-, and sensitive-designed areas under control of the U.S. Army IAW contract requirements.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Key Qualifications:
  • Education/Certifications: Associate's degree and two (2) years of experience or a high school diploma.
  • Must be registered, licensed, or certified by a state or local authority.
  • Must be qualified by an organization listed by a nationally recognized testing laboratory for the servicing of fire alarm systems.
  • Ability to obtain host nation driver license.
Skills and Experience:
  • Two (2) to six (6) years of experience depending on educational level.
  • Ability to manage multiple job sites and priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact with all people.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize safety importance in the workplace.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing mission priorities and needs.
Working Conditions:
  • Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Physical Requirements:
  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting.
