Senior Supply Chain Officer Position

ABYAT is seeking a highly skilled Senior Supply Chain Officer to oversee and manage the end-to-end order processing cycle, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.


This role is responsible for coordinating with various internal departments to facilitate smooth order fulfilment, resolving any issues or discrepancies, and providing support to customers throughout the order life-cycle.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate the purchase order process by requesting a proforma invoice from the vendor, creating a purchase order in SAP, and following up to ensure its full release in the system.
  • Communicate released purchase order details with the vendor and obtain acknowledgement of initial readiness details.
  • Follow up with the vendor to finalise payment terms, including Letters of Credit (LCs) and advance payments.
  • Nominate a freight forwarder for the shipment after analysing the tendering process.
  • Perform pre-shipment follow-ups with vendors and forwarders to ensure proper shipment management.
  • Create shipments in the SAP system, including inbound creation, shipment creation, and cost creation.
  • Process SABER documents for KSA shipments.
  • Conduct post-shipment follow-ups with vendors and forwarders to collect original shipment documents on time for customs clearance.
  • Track shipments and update events in the SAP system, including Expected Time of Departure (ETD), Expected Time of Arrival (ETA), and Actual Time of Pickup (ATP).
  • Resolve shipment discrepancies, including excess and shortage issues.
  • Settle commercial invoice variances.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, industrial engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • High communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures.
  • Focus on results and achieving personal work objectives.
  • Outstanding Microsoft Office skills, with advanced Excel skills.
  • SAP knowledge background.

Job Purpose: The Senior Supply Chain Officer at ABYAT is responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end order processing cycle, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.


Job Duties:


  • Initiate PO process by requesting Proforma Invoice from the vendor, create PO in SAP after reconciling.
  • Follow up internally to get PO fully released in the system.
  • Communicating released PO details with the vendor and getting acknowledged with initial readiness details.
  • Follow up to finalize payment term requirements (LCs, Advance etc.).
  • Follow up with the vendor until getting the readiness to arrange shipment.
  • Nominating Freight forwarder for the shipment after analyzing tendering process.
  • Pre-Shipment follow-ups with vendors and forwarders to ensure shipment processes are managed properly.
  • Creating Shipments in SAP System
  • Inbound Creation, Shipment Creation, Cost Creation.
  • SABER document process for KSA Shipments.
  • Post-Shipment follow-ups with the vendor and forwarders to collect original shipment documents on time for customs clearance.
  • Tracking Shipment and updating events in the SAP system (ETD/ETA/ATP etc.).

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, industrial engineering, supply chain, or related field required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the same role.
  • High Communication skills.
  • Follows directions and procedures.
  • Focusing on results and achieving personal work objectives.
  • Outstanding Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
  • SAP knowledge background.
