Job Title: Academic Resources Coordinator

The position of academic resources coordinator is a pivotal role within the educational institution, focusing on providing access to information in diverse formats. This involves collaborating with students and teachers to facilitate effective use of resources.

A key aspect of this position is instructing students and educators on how to acquire, evaluate, and utilize information as well as the technology associated with this process. The coordinator also plays a crucial role in introducing children and young adults to literature and other resources, broadening their horizons.

In addition to these responsibilities, the academic resources coordinator develops and implements programs that enable students to become proficient users of ideas and information, a lifelong skill. To be successful in this role, candidates must possess experience working in a multi-media library setting.

Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field from one of the following countries: UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, or Scandinavian nations.

Mastery of Library Science at the Master's level is considered an asset. Furthermore, candidates must be native English speakers or have near-native proficiency. They should also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to manage student behavior effectively.Required Experience:

  • A minimum of three years' experience as a school librarian.

Candidates with prior experience as a head librarian are preferred. Additionally, they must be culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible, and able to work in a dynamic environment.
