IT Security Strategist Position at Procapita Group

Our organization is seeking an experienced IT Security Strategist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard our company's networks, systems, and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement security protocols across the organization to ensure data protection and network safety.
  2. Identify, assess, and resolve vulnerabilities in existing security frameworks.
  3. Document and track known security incidents, vulnerabilities, and preventive measures.
  4. Maintain and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  5. Monitor security events and respond promptly to potential threats.
  6. Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to evaluate system security.
  7. Stay current with evolving threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to proactively counter emerging security risks.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security protocols into new systems and applications.
  9. Use various tools to scan and discover network/system vulnerabilities and conduct penetration testing as required.
  10. Maintain detailed records and reports of security incidents, responses, and compliance measures.
  11. Review security configurations for firewalls, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and other critical security systems.
  12. Build and maintain productive relationships with external cybersecurity vendors and partners to ensure collaboration and support.
  13. Plan and execute incident response strategies, including breach investigations, documentation, and recommendations for preventing future incidents.
  14. Support the change management process to ensure security is maintained during system updates or changes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-4 years of experience in IT security.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholder levels.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills to address and resolve security issues efficiently.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strategic Thinking: Capacity to align security initiatives with organizational goals.
