Job Requirements:

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in support of LOGCAP. The selected candidate will be responsible for operating conventional and flatbed tow vehicles, performing preventive equipment maintenance, and responding to requests in a timely manner.

About the Position:
This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with proof of diploma provided. The selected candidate must have On-Post Heavy License and Heavy Driving License required, or able to obtain CDL or equivalent. Additionally, they must be a U.S. Citizen, with valid driver's license and ability to obtain U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Kuwait Heavy Duty Driver's License.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate both conventional and flatbed tow vehicles, including driving, towing, and backing trailers using safety skills.
• Perform preventive equipment maintenance, ensuring all required records and documentation are kept up to date.
• Respond to all requests in a timely manner, communicating effectively with customers and fellow workers.
• Maintain self and equipment by keeping clean, neat, and orderly.
• Perform minor roadside repairs, flat tires, dead batteries, and vehicle malfunctions.
• Recover Commercial Lease Vehicle Branch CLVB and TMP assets as directed throughout the AOR.
• Evacuate equipment to commercial and Government repair facilities using commercial and military recovery vehicles.
• Perform on-site repair or recovery according to technical manuals, commercial manuals, and safety and local policies.

Working Conditions:
The selected candidate must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. This role includes indoor and outdoor environments with very adverse and harsh conditions, such as hot, dry, dusty, desert environments.
