Purpose: Perform a variety of duties which include operating the mailroom in accordance with Department of Defense (DOD), US Army, US Postal Service (USPS) and Military Postal Service Agency (MPSA).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Distribute mail to appropriate recipients or departments
  • Maintain record of incoming mail
  • Count and record inventory items
  • Assist in filing and archiving documents.
  • Perform data entry activities
  • Maintain adequate mailroom supplies
  • Replenish supply of post office forms

Experience:
  • 6 months or more of experience in military APO, Fleet Post Office (FPO), or USPS operations preferred.
  • Similar experience in the customer service field preferred.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must have high-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.
  • Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook and other related applications.
  • Must be able to anticipate internal client needs.
  • Must have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Certification, License & Clearance:
  • Current valid driver's license.
  • Secret Clearance is required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Active Clearance is required: Must have an active Tier 3 Secret U.S. Government clearance.

Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Tier 3 Secret clearance.

Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:
  • Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 Lbs.
