Key Account Manager – FMCG

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Key Account Manager with experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. This role involves managing and expanding relationships with key accounts, particularly within the HORECA sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, ensuring product availability, and optimizing account management strategies to maximize business potential.
Responsibilities
Account Management & Business Growth
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to strengthen relationships with key HORECA clients.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the sector to expand market presence.
- Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by implementing effective sales strategies.
- Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
Customer Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring seamless coordination and service delivery.
- Implement and maintain CRM systems to track customer interactions and sales pipelines.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional agreements to drive revenue growth and enhance customer retention.
Operational Excellence & Distribution Management
- Oversee the distribution network to ensure efficient product delivery and availability.
- Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to optimize stock levels and fulfillment processes.
- Address and resolve customer concerns, ensuring high service quality and operational efficiency.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Analyze sales data, customer insights, and market trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and key account activities.
- Recommend corrective measures to enhance business performance and profitability.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in key account management, sales, or business development within the FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of managing HORECA clients and driving revenue growth.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to work with sales forecasting tools.
